Much is happening in the world. Trying to be more respectful of each-other. however, has this gone too far? I am transgender and I agree, yes we need to be more respectful however there is being respectful and going too far "woke" as they say these days. Everyone is offended by the tiniest little things. To quote Ann Widdecombe

"no one has the right to live their lives being protected from offence or from insult or from hurt feelings. It is an occupational hazer'd of living in society and if you really can't take it, become a hermit." -- Ann Widdecombe oxford union We Should NOT Support No Platforming.

i think this is a strong statement but there is much more to it in the context of the debate as she Gose on to explain totalitarianism. let's reflect particularly on the quote.

What does it means. Well, it means exactly what it sounds like. We have become a "snowflake" society to soft. But I think we can balance being respectful and free speech. Do you not realise that by fighting every minor offence you shut down free speech? You have to think about that deeply. Dark humor, for example, exists. Jokes meant to offend, but remember, they're just jokes. Some of my favorite comedians and shows are dark humor. Bottom (Rik Myall and Ade Edmondson) yes they are from an older era, but they were legends. Then a modern example is by the legend that is Vivienne Medrano (Vivzipop on YouTube) and animator known for Hellava Boss and Hasbin Hotel rude, crude and offence've in places they are magnificent shows. Then there is the phenomenon that was the game Cards against humanity. witch by the way, is clearly marketed as a game for over 18 and thaws who just what a laugh. It's an offensive joke game, that's it. and come on guys video games do it all the time. borderlands series, No More heros and I'm sure meany other game

i recently saw another articles about the new Ghosts of Yotei game set in japan. just because the main character is female. So what there is a documented account of female warriors in Japanese. these have 2 names meaning similar things. Onna-musha (女武者) and Onna-bugeisha both refer to women warriors. The former PlayStation boss put it simply bluntly and correctly see image below.

people will find anything to be offended about or to just rip apart. once again my personal opinions come into play. you can make jokes that will offend people. people just have to understand Thay are jokes but on the same not you can still be respectful sticking up for those same people. Even Eminem that Genz tried to cancel and failed (with i am grateful for the fail) who is controversial in his own right came under fire again. witch leads to council culture which is terrible. I'm not going to go to far into this but it is stupid. it is my hope that you come away from this with a different point of view so till next time have a nice day- A.A.James
